The GB Women’s and Men’s Flag Football squads are making final preparations ahead of travelling to Ireland for the European Flag Championships in Limerick – with groups and fixture times now released.

Both teams launch their campaigns on Friday August 18th – with GB Women opening their tournament against France at 11am, before facing Czech Republic and Sweden later in the day then Ukraine, Italy and Denmark the following day. GB and France are tipped to dominate, but the gap between the leading and the emerging nations is closing, so surprise results cannot be ruled out.

GB Men also start proceeding against France before moving on to a clash with Slovakia in the afternoon, then Netherlands and Spain the following day in what is being billed the ‘Group of Death’ –  with all teams regarded as evenly matched by neutrals and everything to play for.

In total 20 male and 14 female national teams are attending in what is one of the biggest showcases of the sport outside north America. Several of the Great Britain games will be streamed and details of how to watch will be posted ahead of the tournament – along with player profiles and team news.
