The British American Football Association (BAFA) is recruiting for three volunteer positions on its Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

BAFA is the recognised National Governing Body for the sport of American football in Great Britain, both contact and flag, and has a 10 year vision to professionalise the sport and inspire more people to play.
The D&I Committee was created by the BAFA Board to deliver on the development and implementation of equality, diversity, and inclusion policies and strategy. British American football is a unique sport that prides itself on the diversity of its stakeholders. The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is dedicated to having a proactive approach to ensure equal opportunities for anyone who wishes to be involved in American football in Great Britain. The Committee will promote, champion and encourage diversity, inclusion and equality in our sport and will monitor the key areas of performance.

They will also consider the future strategic agenda relating to diversity and inclusion and will advise and make recommendations on appropriate initiatives and activities that will help BAFA achieve its key diversity aims.

Responsible to: The Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee
Length of term: 6 months, which may be extended for further periods of up to 2 years, provided the individual still meets the criteria for membership of the committee
Position type: Voluntary
Suggested hours: The Diversity & Inclusion Committee meets at least 2 times a year and there are monthly conference calls. Must attend all committee meetings, plus up to 2 hours a week voluntary time.
