GB Lions junior contact team manager vacancy

Following the conclusion of the most recent competition cycle, BAFA is opening up recruitment for the role of GB Junior contact team manager.

BAFA is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate team manager to help lead the GB Junior contact team through the next competition cycle and build on the progress made by the programme so far.

The vacancy arises following the resignation of the previous team manager, Verity Brawn.

Clive Dobbin, Adult League Commission Lead and Commission Lead for the GB Junior programme said: “I would like to express my thanks to Verity for all her efforts and hard work over the last two years as GB junior contact team manager.  She should take a lot of credit for the development of the programme, and for how far its come since its re-launch.  She will be a difficult act to follow.”

Since the programme’s relaunch in 2017 the GB Junior team has held trials and camps across the country to identify and develop talent and have built a squad which has participated in fixtures against national squads from Holland and Norway, and French side Pole Revolution.

The GB Junior Team Manager is accountable for developing a strong programme to compete with the best in Europe. Key tasks include organising and managing the logistics for the GB Junior National Team both in terms of trials and practices and also at international competitions and events.

After the close of applications, there will be a short-listing session and successful candidates will be invited to interview (in person or by Skype) during the second half of June 2019.
