BAFA outlines current position regarding COVID-19
BAFA would like to update members on the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) and British American football following our initial update on 3 March 2020, and the latest advice from the UK Government.
BAFA is discussing our response to COVID-19 daily and we are in continuous dialogue with relevant governing bodies and key stakeholders. We can confirm the following updates:
- BAFA is currently considering all possibilities to protect
the health of our members and this includes the potential postponement of
matches across all formats.
- BAFA is developing contingency plans should matches need to
be cancelled or postponed.
- The Sapphire finals taking place this coming Saturday (14
March) will go ahead as planned.
BAFA is making all decisions with the safety and wellbeing
of our members as our number one priority. As the situation with COVID-19 is
changing constantly, we will continue to review our position daily.
In addition, BAFA members are urged to continue following
guidance from the Government in terms of prevention, travel and treatment.
BAFA will update members when further decisions have been
made on our response.
