The British American Football Association today confirmed the first wave of new teams that will be competing across the National Leagues competitions in 2015.
'The British American Football Association is pleased to confirm that in 2015 the Carlisle Sentinels, Hastings Conquerors and the Newcastle Vikings will be competing in the Adult Contact championships' said BAFA Director Andy Fuller.
The teams each played a series of games and submitted a breadth of information relating to the systems and structures of their programme as part of the process for inclusion.
In addition to the three teams named above, the National Leagues will also welcome new teams to the Flag programme. Flag football under the stewardship of Nick Bertenshaw is seeing tremendous growth and a high profile and next year should see one of British football's flagship programmes taking part with the University of Birmingham Lions adding a new strand to their ever-growing family of teams.
BAFA Director Martin Cockerill said 'There is a lot of great work that is going on around the country as teams put the finishing touches to their Associate Year development. We look forward to announcing more new teams for 2015 soon.'
