Great Britain’s Flag Football programme has confirmed its Women’s and Men’s rosters for the upcoming IFAF Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany.

IFAF World Flag 2026 will take place on 13-16 August 2026 with the first qualifying spots for flag football’s Olympic debut at LA28 up for grabs.

Great Britain Women, who go into the tournament ranked third in the world and reigning back-to-back European champions, will face Austria, France and China in the group stages of the tournament.

A recognisable roster from last year’s World Games and European Championships, Great Britain Women are bolstered by the return of quarterback Brittany Botterill, as well as the addition of debutant Angelica Tait and former Great Britain Women’s Contact wide receiver Jessica Anderson.

Building from a fourth-place finish at the 2025 European Championships, Great Britain Men will take on European champions Italy in the group stage in addition to France and Panama.

Five new faces join the roster for 2026 including quarterback Christian Strong, defensive back Darius ‘Frost’ Williams, and wide receiver Luke Sweeney. NFL Academy graduate defensive backs Enrique Aspinall and Jayden Smith complete the line-up of a refreshed Great Britain Lions roster.
