Great Britain Women fell to a 6-26 loss to Germany in the IFAF Women’s Tackle European Championship on Sunday.
More than 400 spectators made the trip to Coventry’s Nick Newbold Stadium where Great Britain hosted Germany in the penultimate round of the European Championship.
Great Britain struggled to build offensive momentum early in the game, and found themselves punished by a powerful German offensive unit.
Late consolation came in the form a deep touchdown pass from Rachael Tumelty to Tuva Strøm, but it was the German side that came away with the victory.
Great Britain will next play Spain in the Bronze Medal Game in August, with a top-three finish still on the cards for the Lions in the 2025/26 cycle.
