The British American Football U19 Regional Series is back for its third annual slate since its inception in 2024.
As part of the 2026 competition, the Regional Series will see the formation and formalising of two Regional Conferences as well as the introduction of a sixth Regional side, the South West, due to compete in this upcoming slate.
The Northern Regional Conference (NRC) consisting of Scotland, North, and Midlands, and the Southern Regional Conference (SRC) consisting of SGS Pride U18, South East (formerly South) & the newly formed South West will compete this Autumn as part of the National Programme’s newly formed scouting initiative, giving the opportunity for U19 players to compete in domestic 11v11 games and camps.
The Regional Series has now been formally aligned with the competition pyramid and will serve as the direct feeder to the newly revised National Programme, with players and coaches alike being presented the opportunity to be scouted and recognised through Regional Competition.

We are delighted to confirm the following coaches who will lead the Regional Series Teams in the 2026 Series. We also wish to congratulate Dean Malpass of the Midlands and Steve Rains of the South West on their new appointment.

Regional Series 2026 Dates
In collaboration with the National Programme, Regional Series teams will have designated camps and game weekends to allow maximum coverage and scouting opportunities for programme coaches and external bodies.
Designated camp weekends will be as follows:

Regional Series Teams will thereafter play two fixtures each, competing in an inter-conference round robin with each team playing a minimum of one home and one away fixture. Final fixture dates will be finalised in due course however, the designated game weekends which will avoid any conflict with National Programme activity are:

FAQs
Who can Play?
Players with a valid Mixed U19 Contact Membership or players who are aged 16 by the first Regional Camp are able to participate. This includes those still eligible for U16 football in 2027, which is a change from last year’s restrictions.
Which team am I eligible for?
A full list of Regional Alignment will be communicated directly to your BAFA clubs. A further announcement will follow in due course.
I’m a BUCS Player, can I take part?
Yes! All BUCS teams will be aligned to a respective Regional Series Team.
How do I sign up?
Full sign-up information will be issued centrally to eligible JustGo Members and BAFA clubs. Regional Series Teams will also advertise sign up in Summer 2026.
