The British American Football Association are excited to confirm league schedules, alignments, and details of Finals for this season’s BAFA National Leagues powered by Union Jack Classic.

While 2026 competition officially began in March with the launch of the 2026 Youth Flag Football League, BAFA are pleased to confirm details of all national competitions, summarised below:

  • Mixed Adult Contact
  • Mixed U19 Contact
  • Mixed U16 Contact
  • Women’s Contact (National Women’s Football League)
  • Mixed Adult Flag (National Flag Football League)
  • Youth Flag (Youth Flag Football League)

2026 will also bring additional engagement opportunities courtesy of our national competitions title partner Union Jack Classic! Each month clubs from across BAFA competitions can nominate a “Player of the Month” for their outstanding performances on the field. BAFA and Union Jack Classic will shortlist and spotlight these players across their digital channels with exclusive experiences and rewards up for grabs!

2026 BAFA National League Finals powered by Union Jack Classic

For 2026 BAFA are excited to welcome new venues and new structure to its National League Finals, as well as the return of “Bowl Game” Finals for Mixed Adult Contact’s Division One and Division Two. Find a full breakdown of this season’s Finals, including dates and venues below:

 

U19 Division Two and NWFL 7’s Finals

Competitions: Mixed U19 Contact Division Two, NWFL 7’s
Date: 15 August 2026
Venue: Staffordshire Rugby Club

Format: Consistent with recent seasons, four teams will qualify for Finals and compete in semi-finals, a third/fourth playoff, and a Championship Game.

 

U16, Mixed Adult Contact Division One and Two Finals

Competitions: Mixed U16 Contact, Mixed Adult Contact Division One and Two
Date: 29-30 August 2026
Venue: Staffordshire Rugby Club

Format: Division One and Two Bowl Games return for 2026! Playoff finalists will face off on Sunday 30 August for the division title. U16 Contact remains consistent with recent seasons, with four Plate teams and four Finals teams qualifying for Finals on Saturday 29 August.

 

Britbowl 38 Weekend

Competitions: Mixed Adult Contact Premiership, NWFL Premiership, Mixed U19 Contact Division One
Date: 5-6 September 2026
Venue: Nick Newbold Stadium, Coventry (formerly Butts Park Arena)

Format: Consistent with 2025, Saturday will see the U19 Division One National Championship Game followed by the NWFL Premiership Final. Sunday will host the Mixed Adult Contact Premiership Final, Britbowl 38.

 

Flag Finals

Competitions: National Flag Football League, Youth Flag Football League
Date: 12-13 September 2026
Venue: Nick Newbold Stadium, Coventry (formerly Butts Park Arena)

Format: Flag Football in a stadium! Saturday welcomes four qualifying finalists from each of the NFFL’s National, Premiership and Division One tiers, while Sunday hosts a celebration of Youth Flag as four qualifying teams from each age category go head-to-head.
