The Coventry Cougars were crowned 2026 British Women’s Flag Football League champions on Saturday after defeating the East Kilbride Pirates 46-28 in the championship game.
The Cougars complete an undefeated 2025-26 season as they claim their tenth national championship title in British women’s flag football.
A dominant performance on the day saw wins over the East Kilbride Pirates Red and Coventry Panthers take the Cougars through to the championship game. Great Britain captains Ellie Thorpe and Grace Conway delivered highlight moments throughout, with Conway recording three touchdown receptions and Thorpe, the eventual Finals MVP, marking two touchdowns, three extra points and an interception.
The Manchester Titans were named Plate Winners, winning out after falling to the London Flame in their quarterfinal.
