BAFA have partnered with BreakAway Data to support the Great Britain Flag Football Performance Programme’s performance analytics & technology.

Through the partnership, BreakAway will provide the GB Performance Programme with reporting, evaluation, scouting and insights as they prepare to compete in the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf this summer.

BreakAway’s global network of flag football players will also unlock new player recruitment opportunities for Great Britain, tapping into British nationals already competing in the sport in the United States and further afield.

The partnership also explores further opportunities to implement BreakAway’s data and technology in flag football, with potential collaboration at wider BAFA events and national competitions.

“As flag football moves towards the Olympic stage, the way national teams prepare is changing,” said Ben Smith, BreakAway’s Head of Professional Sport.

“The programmes that succeed will be the ones that truly understand how the game is evolving – from identifying and developing talent, to analysing international competition and learning from every match.

“BreakAway’s partnership with BAFA is about building that foundation: supporting their programme with athlete performance technologies alongside the match intelligence coaches need to prepare and compete on a global platform.

“It’s an exciting moment for the sport, and we’re proud to support the GB programme on that journey.”
