The British American Football Association (BAFA) is excited to announce the confirmation of a £300,000 talent investment from Sport England.
Building on the launch of BAFA’s new Together to Inspire strategy in September, this latest investment from Sport England aims to develop British American football’s talent pathway, a crucial step in the strategy’s goal of producing winning Great Britain teams.
As Great Britain’s national programmes continue to inspire young players and coaches across the UK’s flag and contact American football community, investment in the talent pathway will further unlock areas such as player and coach development, scouting and Talent ID, performance technology and wider programme infrastructure.
“The development of our Talent Pathway is vital for the future of British American football and this support from Sport England sets us in excellent stead as we continue our journey towards LA28 and beyond,” commented BAFA CEO Chad Ehlertsen.
“It’s incredibly important that we build a strong and clear pathway not only for our players to produce winning performances on the field, but for us to establish our Performance infrastructure off the field, and deliver on our vision of inspiring the next generation of British American football players and coaches.”
