The Great Britain U19 Contact programme came up short in a 21-7 defeat to Hungary on Saturday.
In their first competitive fixture of 2025, the young Lions traveled to Székesfehérvár, Hungary to face Future Team Hungary in an exhibition game.
Hungary were first to put points on the board, scoring a deep passing touchdown in the first half to set the tempo for the game.
While the British defense stood firm for much of the third quarter, the home side would score again with a rushing touchdown, before adding another after a quick interception, taking the lead to 21-0.
Great Britain would get themselves on the board in the late stages of the fourth quarter, with quarterback Ewan Doig scrambling from the pocket and into the endzone.
