Great Britain Men finished fourth in the 2025 IFAF European Flag Football Championship on Saturday after a 34-20 loss to France in the Bronze Medal Game.

Touchdowns from quarterback Charlie Williams to receivers Joe Cotterill, AJ Carr and Jack Jarrett weren’t enough for Great Britain, who ultimately struggled to pick apart the French defense on Saturday afternoon.

Down 12-14 at halftime, the Lions simply couldn’t keep pace with the French attack in front of boisterous home support in Val de Marne, Paris and conceded three scores in the second half to fall behind 20-34.

Finishing the tournament in fourth place, Great Britain Men reset after a year focussed on off-field development with young talent and a new coaching staff.

Great Britain Men made their way to the Bronze Medal Game after falling to eventual champions Italy in the semi finals.

The Lions secured a stunning 32-19 victory over Denmark in Friday night’s quarterfinals to seal World Championship qualification in 2026.
