The BAFA AGM will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday 12 July at Keele University during this year’s BAFCA coaching convention weekend.

In line with Article 35 of the BAFA Articles of Association, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the British American Football Association (BAFA) will take place in person on Saturday 12 July at 1.30pm until approximately 3pm at Keele University as part of the BAFCA Convention.

Holding the AGM in person this year is in direct response to member feedback requesting a return to face-to-face events and better opportunities to engage with BAFA leadership. By hosting the AGM as part of the annual BAFCA Convention – which falls on a bye weekend and is an event many clubs will already have representatives attending – we hope to make it easier for clubs across the BAFA community to take part.

The AGM will be followed by a Q&A session with the BAFA Board and CEO, Chad Ehlertsen – a chance to hear more and ask any questions you may have. An agenda and a copy of the annual report will be circulated to registered attendees ahead of the event.

Who can attend the AGM
Each BAFA National Leagues club may send up to two representatives to attend the AGM.

Voting process and eligibility for the AGM
Although up to two representatives from each BAFA National Leagues club may attend the AGM, each club may only cast a single vote.

Please note – university American football clubs are not eligible to vote at the AGM, as they are affiliated with BUCS – which has its own vote via BUCS American Football Programme Manager, Tonye Dokubo. Coaches registered with BAFA and linked to a University American football club may contact BAFCA to raise any questions or concerns from a coaching perspective, or Tonye at BUCS to raise any other questions.

What you need to do to attend the AGM
Please register your intention to attend via JustGo on the link below no later than 10am on Tuesday 8 July 2025.

As part of the registration process, you will be asked to confirm which club you are representing, and that you are authorised to attend on behalf of your club.

If you can’t make it
The AGM is available for face-to-face attendance only. Clubs who are unable to attend may nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf – for example, someone already attending from another club.

You must inform us in advance who your proposed proxy will be by completing and returning the proxy form and returning it to registrations@britishamericanfootball.org no later than 10am on Tuesday 8 July 2025.

Questions for the Board Q&A
If you have a question you’d like to put to the BAFA Board, please submit it in advance by 10am on Tuesday 8 July 2025 to amanda.mcdonald@britishamericanfootball.org.

We’ll aim to cover as many topics as possible during the Q&A, but time on the day will be limited. If there’s something important you’d like to ask or raise, submitting it in advance will help ensure it’s included in the discussion.
