Great Britain’s U21 Men’s Flag national team travel to Utrecht in the Netherlands this weekend to compete as the Silver Lions in King Bowl.
Fourteen players will represent the Silver Lions in Holland, competing for the first time since the establishment of the Great Britain U21 Men’s Programme led by Head Coach Kellie Barrett.
Joining Group D, the Silvers will face the likes of Hague Hyenas II, Villeneuve d’Ascq Vikings, Bremen Firebirds and Winterthur Red Lions from across Europe.
Speaking on the squad’s opportunity this weekend, Barrett emphasised the high level of competition at the tournament.
“King Bowl is more than just a tournament, it’s a chance to test ourselves against some of the best national talent in Europe,” Barrett said.
“Competing at this elite level is exactly what we need to grow as a programme. I’m super excited to see our players rise to the occasion and represent with pride!”
