The Great Britain Men’s Tackle programme have announced their travelling squad for Sunday’s IFAF European Championship fixture against Sweden.
With the 45 travelling players confirmed alongside the Lions coaching and support staff, the Mane Men are set for their first of two European Championship fixtures this month.
Reflecting on the atmosphere at camp, head coach Jason Scott commented: “We’ve had two really good sessions ahead of the October games, the mood is excited but focused.
“We know we have two massive games against teams with vast international pedigree coming up. We’re excited about the opportunity to go out there and compete.
“The experience of playing away in Milan and Copenhagen has given us a good understanding on how to manage a successful game away from home. We learned some lessons from the Italy game, and those were evident in the way we performed against Denmark. Again, we want to take another step with this huge away game in Karlstad, which poses its own, unique set of challenges- but they are challenges we are up to.”
