The Great Britain Youth Flag Football teams had an eventful and intense competition, showcasing their skills and determination across multiple age groups. Here’s a full recap of the U17 Boys, U17 Girls, and U15 Mixed teams’ performances:

U17 Boys: Bronze Medal Finish
The U17 Boys faced a tough semi-final matchup against Italy. Despite some impressive plays, the Italian team’s experience proved too strong, handing GB a 46-19 defeat. However, the boys quickly regrouped for their Bronze Medal game against Austria.
In a much more controlled and convincing performance, the GB boys held their nerve in a close game. Pulling away in the second half, they clinched the Bronze Medal with a 25-13 victory, finishing the tournament on a high note.

U17 Girls: A Tournament of Grit
The U17 Girls had a challenging tournament but showed their resilience throughout. On the final day, they secured their first win of the competition, defeating Germany 19-12 in a hard-fought match, lifting the spirits of the entire squad.
This victory placed the team in the 5th-7th bracket, where they faced two back-to-back games later in the day. First up was a rematch against Germany, but this time the German girls got their revenge, winning 20-12.
In their final game against Austria, the GB Girls found themselves down by three scores at halftime. However, in an incredible second-half comeback, they shut out Austria and scored three touchdowns of their own. In the dying seconds, they bravely opted for a two-point conversion to win the game but were denied, losing by just one point (21-20).

U15 Mixed: Silver Medal Achievement
The U15 Mixed team entered the day with a perfect 5-0 record, advancing to the semi-finals where they too faced Italy. The game was a thrilling shootout, with both teams making big plays, but GB managed to edge out a 24-21 win, booking their place in the Gold Medal game.
The final paired two undefeated teams, GB and Germany, in what proved to be a gripping contest. GB started strong, jumping to a two-score lead, but Germany responded with a quick touchdown and an interception to level the game. From there, it was a back-and-forth battle, but Germany ultimately took the gold with a 46-39 victory. The U15 Mixed team proudly brought home the Silver Medal.
