Great Britain Men have narrowly missed making it to the quarter finals of the 2024 IFAF Flag Football World Championships after falling to agonising 37-36 defeat at the hands of France. However for the Women’s team their impressive run of form continues into day three.

After completing a 100% record in the group stage with an impressive 34-20 victory over third ranked Germany in the morning, hopes were high in the Men’s camp of progressing further into the knockout phase but the French proved too strong. Now the squad will refocus and set about earning crucial ranking points over the remainder of the tournament in a bid to move into the top 10 in the world rankings.
Meanwhile Great Britain Women have maintained their impressive momentum – reaching the last 16 of the tournament unbeaten with a narrow victory over Panama in an exhilarating match. Along with USA, Mexico, Germany, and Austria they topped their group undefeated and now face Switzerland in the next round.
