The Great Britain Under 19 Contact team extend their sincere thanks to the UWE American Football team for their invaluable support. Head Coach Dan Maher and the UWE Sports Team generously provided free access to their training facilities and classrooms for the GB U19 practice camps on 29 June and 10 August. This support aided the team as they prepare for the upcoming game against the Irish Wolfhounds on 23 August at Energia Park, Dublin.

Rav Chatha, the Team Manager of the GB U19 team, expressed her gratitude: “A huge thank you to Head Coach Dan Maher of the UWE Bullets and UWE Sports Team for securing free practice field and classroom sessions for the GB U19 team practice sessions held at UWE campus. His generous assistance will significantly help us manage our travel costs for the upcoming game in Ireland.”

The financial relief provided by UWE’s support allows the team to allocate more funds towards the trip to Ireland, reducing the overall costs for the players and significantly boosting the team’s preparations ahead of their trip.

Scott Rowe, Head Coach of the GB Lions U19 Programme, shared the team’s excitement: “We are incredibly excited to be participating in this weekend of football in Dublin this August. Competing against the Junior Wolfhounds will be a competitive and hard-fought encounter, and we hope it will develop into a true rivalry.”

To further support their journey, the GB U19s have set up a fundraiser page. Contributions will directly support the team’s travel and logistics. Support their journey HERE
