After the success of a Silver medal at the IFAF World Championships in August 2022., the Great Britain Women’s American Football Team return to the field to face Sweden in the IFAF European Championships at Worcester Sixways Stadium on Saturday 15th April, 3pm KO.
The game pitches the 2nd in the World ranked Great Britain Women’s team, against the 8th in the World ranked Swedish Women’s Team. This is their first meeting since the 2019 European Championships in Leeds, which saw the Swedish team triumph 9 – 6.
Sweden will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing World Championships. Whereas Great Britain will be wanting to build on their recent success and provide some payback for the narrow loss in the previous European Championships.

The game also marks the 10 year anniversary of the first ever Great Britain Women’s game. Which again pitched Great Britain vs Sweden in 2013.
