Bristol Apache have won the Division 2 National Final after coming from behind to beat the Highland Stags 17-7.

The Stags opened the scoring in a tight affair through Kyle Cocker who received a pass from QB James Hudson in the end zone in the first quarter.

Despite the Apache offensive line failing to fire in the first half, the West Country side managed to stay within touching distance with a field goal from James Baines to narrow the gap before half time.

And the game turned late in the third quarter when MVP, Bristol quarterback Fen Trudgian was able to run the ball into the endzone to give his side the lead.

Ed Green made The Apache’s position unassailable in the fourth quarter – scoring a 3-yard touchdown run, to break Stag’s resistance who finally fell to their first defeat of an impressive season.
