Message from Pete Ackerley.

BAFA team and member registration for the 2021– 2022 period is now available

Due to the continuing effects of the pandemic this has been an unusual year for BAFA registrations. I’d like to remind you that as the playing season has taken place later than normal this year – especially for our clubs in Scotland – we had extended the majority of existing memberships to 31 October 2021.

New and renewing memberships are immediately available. And, as normal, anyone who registered early in error, or in the last week or two of the previous membership year will have their memberships rolled over to the new period.  Women’s flag football playing memberships have also all now been moved to their new membership cycle of 1 July to 30 June annually now too.

Fees and team registration
Fees for the 2021-2022 membership period will remain at the levels originally set for 2020.  I am also pleased to confirm that we are offering a special ‘early bird’ discount of 25% off league and adult associate playing memberships between now and 31 December 2021. Although coaching fees will return to their full rate, a 25% off early bird discount will be offered on the playing upgrade element of any player / coach fees.

This early bird membership rate is being extended in recognition of the continuing impact of the pandemic. From 1 January 2022 player membership fees will return to their full rate.

You can find a full list of our 2021– 2022 membership period fees here.

Team registration fees remain unchanged. Team registration dates will be advised by competition management for our different formats and age groups over the coming weeks.

University player and coach registration
University players should register for student football through BUCS Play and will be advised the steps they need to take by their institution.  University coaches should continue to register for student football through the BAFA registration system.

Insurance
As part of membership of the British American Football Association, actively registered clubs and individuals automatically receive the benefit of the association’s public liability and group personal accident insurance. Policy documentation including full details of the coverage and the terms and conditions can be found on our website and on our insurance microsite here –   https://www.bluefinsport.co.uk/bafa/
